A White & Fresh Before and After

Another amazing before and after of a living room and a kitchen that took place back in
the 2009 but I just found out. Take note of the small rug in the before picture (one of
the most common decoration mistakes) and then look at the after to see what
difference the correct rug size makes.

  1. They really turned this house from something very old fashioned into something very chic.

  2. Holy Cow, is that really the same house? I make the same "mistake" with my area rugs but really, it's a function of prize, Olga. I cannot afford to buy an 8 x 10 or larger area rug to anchor the spread between a sofa and chairs or other furniture. As it is I've been wanting to get new area rugs for quite awhile now but I have not been able to sell my current ones for $35 or less! It's ridiculous. I'm not going to give them away for $5 -- or to the Goodwill. They are fine rugs that I paid hundreds of dollars for. So, do I buy something I can afford that is small, or do I buy a huge new rug that I may want to get rid of 10 years down the road and cannot get rid of. I already have such a large rug in now very outdated colors rolled up and stored in my basement, and four 5 x 7 rugs and a 6 x 9 rug that I want to dispose of, but I will NOT give them away. That's just the way it is. I will not pay $600 or more for a large area rug when I can get a 5 x7 for $200. I'll just make do. My reality is that I don't have a lot of money to spend for rugs -- or furniture, for that matter!
