It's that time again... are you ready?
Ready for some more Blogging Tips and Links that could turn your blog from drab to fab?
How to...
1. Add Pages
Go to Design - Add Gadget - Pages. Now that you have added the gadget, you have to create the pages.
Now go to Posting and you'll see that next to Edit Posts you have also Edit Pages! You click on the Edit Pages and click the blue button "New Page". That's it! You name your title and then you write whatever you want, exactly as you do for a new post.
2. Schedule Posts
I use to prepare my posts some days earlier and have them ready for a specific day. Some time ago, I didn't know that I could schedule my posts when to show up on my blog, and I was forced to turn on the alarm clock and wake up just to press the "Publish" button! Silly ha? Well I did! And then suddenly one day I saw the light... you can schedule your posts to appear on your blog whenever you like! And it is so simple. When you create or edit a written post see this blue text under the labels saying "Post Options"? Well, that's the magic button! You click that and at the right column you tick "Scheduled at" and you add the date and time you desire. You can do this for as many posts as you like. Sometimes I schedule the whole next week ahead!
3. Create your button
I'm sure this is something that you all want and have been wondering for quite a time. And many
of you probably think that this is something that only graphic designers can do. Well... nope!
Now you have me! LOL! And it is so easy-peasy-lemon squeezie!
What you need is a url of your image. I use either picnic or photobucket to edit my image and then save it. Once you've done that you have the url of your image. Now what you have to do is to go to this great site and you'll be required to add the url of the image, the title of your blog and the url of your blog. If you're on blogspot you tick the "Textarea", if you're on wordpress you tick the "Pre". Then you click the "Preview" and you copy-paste the code it will show you. Now you have the HTML of your button and all you have to do is go to your Dashboard-Design-Add Gadget-Javascript and in there you paste the HTML code. Now preview your blog and you'll see your beautiful button ready for someone to grab!
This is just for fun, just to find out if anyone has pinned something out of your posts.
Here is how you do it:
Type this URL into the web address bar, only with your info:
http://pinterest.com/source/yourblogURLhere
i.e.-mine would be http://pinterest.com/source/stardust-decorstyle.blogspot.com
