Some useful links and tips for bloggers

Good morning everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!
Through my wander in blogland I've discovered  some useful links - besides all those creative blogs I'm following - and tips, which I thought I should share with you, as they're of much interest.
Drums please...
  1. Free templates and backgrounds:                                                                                                       a. The Cutest Blog on the Block, b. Leelou Blogs, c. Shabby blogs and d. Btemplate.             I think these four, are the best that I've found so far with the cutest templates ever, which you can easily add in to  Warm Home  your blog if you follow some simple instructions.
  2. Bloglovin': Due to some Bloggers' errors in the blogs I follow, I've found out that this is the most easiest and safer way  Follow S t a r d u s t - Decor & Style  to follow blogs.   And it's for free! You just sign in and then you add all the blogs you want to follow. Then you'll be receiving a daily report on how many new unread posts you have. You can also add the relevant button on your toolbar which is being refreshed automatically with the new posts. I've also added the bloglovin' button on my right sidebar, just to make it easier for people who want to follow. I loooove bloglovin'!
  3. Link Parties: this is how I got most of my followers and this is where I owe the total number of my pageviews! Visit some of them, or why not...all of them for a ton of crafts and inspiration and join in the fun!
  4. Blog Hops: on the right sidebar of my blog you'll see the section "Blog Hops". Click on each image to be taken to a blog hop where you can link your own blog in order to make some new friends and gain some more followers!
  5. Pin it button: I suppose you all have by now a Pinterest account. If not, go ahead and do so, as this is the most convenient way to save all your inspiration pictures in one place. Anyhow, I believe that adding the Pin it button is very important as you can make a big hit there with one of your projects and this means a lot of traffic into your blog from Pinterest! Well finally, there is a way of adding the Pin it button under each one of your posts and this is the how to:  go to Settings->Formatting->Post Template and paste the following code and then Save: <a href="javascript:void((function(){var%20e=document.createElement('script');e.setAttribute('type','text/javascript');e.setAttribute('charset','UTF-8');e.setAttribute('src','http://assets.pinterest.com/js/pinmarklet.js?r='+Math.center()*99999999);document.body.appendChild(e)})());"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://www.clickinmoms.com/cmprodaily/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/pinit.jpg" alt="Pin It" /></a>
***UPDATE: since this button stopped functioning, pls see here my relevant post for a new
improved Pint it button at the bottom of each post ***

* Sharing this post with these link parties and this. Check them out for a ton of crafts and projects! *

  51. Your directions for the pin it button were spot on. I did it perfectly. The only thing is there is no pin it button anywhere that I can see. Does it automatically post on the old posts? or only new posts? I found you on a bowl full of lemons and I am soooooo glad I did, because you are teaching me everything I have wanted to know but couldn't find the answers anywhere. So thank you so much. btw, I think I read in your comments about a post you did on sights to see in Greece????? Could you let me know where that is. We were supposed to come to Greece in November for my 50th birthday, but we adopted a baby from Jamaica instead. LOL But Greece is sooooooooo on my bucket list.

  52. Hi Olga. Thank you for the tips. I have tried a couple of times with the Pinterest button on my post. The button shows up and it opens the box to add the board, but the pictures from the page do not show up to click on which one to pin onto the board. Could you tell me what I am doing wrong?
